NEW DELHI : It is getting increasingly
getting market friendly. Taking a cue from the private satellite TV
channels, Prasar Bharati is all set to come out with the inaugural
edition of its programming guide, DarshanAIR, slated to be launched
in the first week of January 2003.
After getting presentations from various agencies, a design shop called
Infinity Advertising, was selected to design and print DarshanAIR.
The inaugural issue of the guide, which at a later stage may also
carry advertisements from private media and TV companies, is to be
distributed amongst government organisations initially and has a print
order of about 2,000.
DarshanAIR (deriving its name from Doordarshan and the acronym for
All India Radio) will be brought out by Prasar Bharati in an effort
to publicise and popularise its programmes, apart from getting the
listings published in the newspapers.
At least eight companies had attended a presentation that the pubcaster
made on its requirements for DarshanAIR last week.
The 40-odd page monthly will carry interviews and special articles,
apart from mention of DD. |
