HONG KONG: Rupert Murdoch's Star has won 15 awards at the 2002
PROMAX and BDA (Broadcast Designers' Association) Asia in Singapore,
with 6 Golds, 8 Silvers and The Asia 2002 Rocket Award. The awards
encompass creative work across the broadcaster's bouquet which includes
the flagship channel Star Plus, Star Movies, Star World, Channel
[V], ESPN, Phoenix and National Geographic Channel.
The awards saw Star excel in a wide range of categories. They range
from Best Print Ad (Silver), Best Sound Design (Silver), Best Sales
& Marketing Presentation (Gold) and Best Editing Promo (Silver)
for Star Movies, Best Print Campaign (Gold) for Phoenix, Best ID
(Silver) for Star Gold, Best Promo (Gold) for National Geographic
Channel to the prestigious “Rocket Award’, a special award in recognition
of new talent in the industry by Jay Chen of National Geographic
Channel.
PROMAX and BDA are international associations of broadcast design
and marketing professionals. They offer the world's premier educational
conferences for promotions, marketing and design executives in electronic
media. The PROMAX & BDA Awards are recognized worldwide as the pinnacle
of promotion and marketing achievement. They are rated by a panel
of industry experts on the basis of Overall Creativity; Production

than any other Asian broadcaster at the PROMAX and BDA (Broadcast
Designers' Association) Awards in Los Angeles, USA, with 14 awards
