MUMBAI: Telecom operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) is set to launch mobile
TV next month. Presently, the telecom operator is carrying out field trials.
MTNL
will provide 21 channels on the mobile platform.
MTNL executive director J Gopal said, "We
have tied up with a technology partner,
who is carrying out the field trials. We
would provide 21 channels."
MTNL has launched value-added-service Express
Alert for its Dolphin and Trump mobile subscribers.
Express Alert will give MTNL customers updates
on astrology, cricket scores, news and stocks.
Going ahead, MTNL would launch one value-added-service
every month to increase its revenue earnings.
