MUMBAI: Zee Café has launched a show Pushing Daisies at 10 pm on Wednesdays. Produced by Warner Brothers, the show is a Golden Globe-nominated ‘dramedy’ (dramatic comedies).

The show centers on the life of Ned, a pie-maker gifted with the curious ability to bring the dead back to life by touching them. Ned quickly learns that if someone is revived for more than exactly one minute, someone else of similar ‘life value’ in the vicinity drops dead, in a form of balance.

Pushing Daisies is a ride of outrageous events that come about in the life of Ned once he stumbles upon his supernatural power.

In October last year, the show premiered in the United States. The series follows Ned as he and his friends solve murder cases, negotiate relationships, and explore what it means to be fully alive. Their stories combine mystery, magic, dark humor, giddy romanticism, animals, technicolor landscapes, musical numbers and of course, pies.
