NEW DELHI: Wild Africa, a new series on wildlife adventure, is set to premiere on Animal Planet on 17 May this year.

The series will air on Saturdays at 8 pm.

The six-part series will explore the natural history and the physical forces which have shaped the pattern of life across Africa's six key environments.

"This is one of the most comprehensive coverage on Africa, its topography, and its flora and fauna. Thus, the series will be a delight for any animal or nature lover," stated Discovery Networks India director marketing and communications Rajiv Bakshi.

Filmed over two years in approximately 20 countries of the continent, Wild Africa aims to explore the continent from its natural historical background to evolution till date.

The series will dedicate one part each week to a different environment, which include mountains, savannah, deserts, coasts, jungles, and lakes and rivers, thereby discovering the flora and fauna of that area.
