UTV's World Movies to capture Cannes Film Festival on 'Cannes Calling'

MUMBAI:UTV's World Movies will be airing footages and movies from the Cannes Film Festival on the series called Cannes Calling this month.

Cannes Calling: The Countdown aims to bring to the viewers the best moments from Cannes in the last decade with red carpet events, gala parties and interviews with the stars.

Cannes Calling: The Late Show will capture a selection of the best movies showcased at Cannes over the years.

Cannes Calling: Festival De Cannes 2008 will offer a daily feed from the Cannes Film Festival '08 comprising interviews with major stars and directors, extensive coverage of the red carpet events, access to the gala parties every night and directors and actors whose films will be showcased at Cannes 2008.

UTV Entertainment Television COO Dilshad Master said, "Cannes is a not-to-miss event. It is the world's biggest and the most glamorous film festival but India gets to see only glimpses of it. As India's only international movie channel, World Movies is proud to bring Indian viewers comprehensive coverage of this spectacular event for the very first time."

The films that will be aired include French film Money directed by Robert Bresson, Rendezvous from Eric Gustavson, Italian film Identification Of A Woman from Michelangelo Antonioni and British filmmaker Mike Leigh's Secrets and Lies.
