DELHI: The History Channel will telecast new series of History
Rocks with some of the worlds best rock musicians
and legendary performers.
Showing
the greatest moments of rock, History Rocks will be
telecast every Thursday at 9 pm from 5 June to give viewers
a slice of the glory that marks these legendary performers.
The
series was first aired in 2004 and has been telecast at regular
intervals since then.
With
decades of multi-platinum success and sold-out tours, some
of the greatest musical icons like Metallica, U2, Pink Floyd,
Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Elvis Presley, Beatles, Rolling
Stones and Deep Purple are featured in this series that fuses
music and history together.
A
17-part series, History Rocks brings together great
concerts, rare documentaries and interviews featuring these
gods of music and offers a unique glimpse into the life of
these rock legends.
After
the super success of History Rocks last year, we have
lined up an exciting series that goes on till September giving
rock enthusiasts the most compelling content about their rock
idols," The History Channel VP marketing Rajesh Sheshadri.
To
promote the show, special rock nights will be organised by
the channel in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore for the rock enthusiasts
where leading rock bands such as Parikrama, Vayu and Galeej
Gurus will perform to a packed audience.
The
viewers will get a chance to know interesting trivia about
their favourite rock idols on the special History Rocks microsite.
An interactive contest with a radio partner will give one
lucky winner a chance to watch an International live concert
in New York.
