Gitanjali Murari to head content in Turner-Alva Brothers' Hindi GEC

MUMBAI: Real Global Broadcasting (RGB), the Turner - Alva Brothers' joint venture company, has roped in Gitanjali Murari as head of content for its soon to-be-launched Hindi general entertainment channel.

Murari moves in from Sony Pix where she was the head of programming. She was also involved with the brand's marketing and advertising sales functions.

In her new role, Murari would be responsible for developing and producing content for the channel through third party partners and associates.

Announcing Murari's appointment, Real Global Broadcasting Pvt. Ltd director Sunil Lulla said, "Gitanjali will lead the designing and execution of programming for contemporary neo Indian audiences in her new role."

Enthusiastic about her new role, Murari, said, "I am very excited to lead the programming of a new age general entertainment channel in India. There are many opportunities and new ways to entertain audiences and we look forward to establishing creative leadership in the market place."

Murari has held several positions with reputed media brands, including Sony Entertainment Television India as the creative director overseeing hit shows like Yeh Meri Life Hai, Hum Do Hain Na; Zee Trendz, Zee MGM and Zee English as programming head; and Fremantle as country head for India.

In addition, Murari has worked as an independent creative consultant, a TV show producer and a documentary producer.
