MUMBAI:
Rupert Murdoch-controlled Fox Group, part of News Corporation,
is planning to bring six channels into India as part of its
expansion plans to tap the emerging platforms such as digital
cable, direct-to-home (DTH), and IPTV.
Fox
has applied to the ministry of information and broadcasting
and is awaiting clearance.
The
six channels are Fox Crime, Baby TV, FX (Fox extended), National
Geographic Adventure, National Geographic Wild and National
Geographic Music, sources say.
The
channels from the Star stable will be distributed by Star

"We
will be adding the channels from the Fox stable once they
are cleared by the MIB," a source in the company says.
Star
Den is distributing all the channels which were earlier distributed
domestically by Star India. It is also adding the Network18
channels including CNBC TV18, CNBC Awaaz, CNN-IBN and IBN7
