Disney appoints Peter Fitton as VP of media advertising

MUMBAI: With a view to increasing international sales, Disney has appointed Peter Fitton as its VP of international sales at Disney Media Advertising Sales and Marketing Group (DMASMG), reports mad.co.uk.

DMASMG drives all advertising sales, marketing and promotions business for the Walt Disney Company's kid-driven and family-inclusive TV platforms.

An executive with wide-ranging expertise in international business development and advertising sales and strategy in the US and Europe, Fitton will have strategic oversight of advertising sales strategies in all markets outside the US.
He will also have responsibility for establishing cross-market alliances to maximise opportunities for Disney's clients.
In his new role, Fitton will report to DMASMG EVP Tricia Wilber.

Wilber said, "Fitton's extensive sales background in both US and European markets makes him the ideal candidate for this position and an asset for the growth of our international business for Disney-branded kids' platforms."

Fitton joins Disney from MTV Networks Digital where he was most recently director of new business development. He has also held positions at Turner Broadcasting France, Turner Broadcasting Netherlands and Good Morning Television in London.

He began his career as a sales assistant at Television Media Marketing in London.
