MUMBAI: Media Nucleus bags the traffic and broadcast system development duties of Network18's upcoming shopping channel HomeShop18.

HomeShop18 is the third broadcaster in the last 4 months including PTC News and News 24 to have decided to go with Media Nucleus for broadcast software solutions.

"We are happy to be considered by Network18 (HomeShop18) who are one of the leading broadcasting houses in the country. We look forward to supporting them in their new venture with our expertise and solutions," said Media Nucleus India operations head Santosh Nair.

"Media Nucleus' software solution fitted in perfectly with our requirements. Also their background and experience made it easy for us to execute our decision to go for their solution," said HomeShop18 VP of planning and broadcasting Ashwini Sharma.

Media Nucleus' businesses include subscriber management system for Cas/DTO/DTH, broadcast management and traffic scheduler software. The services are already live with three MSOs - 7Star, Home Digital in Mumbai and ICC Pune.

The company also has its presence in the rich media encoding and digitisation spectrum, and has been working with Films Division, Whistling Woods, Amul India, NFDC and FTII.
