Turner names Paul Condolora as SVP, digital

MUMBAI: Veteran entertainment and new media executive Paul Condolora has been named SVP, digital for Turner Broadcasting System Inc's animation, young adults and kids media group.

The appontment was announced by Stuart Snyder, the group's president and chief operating officer.

In his new expanded role, Condolora will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the digital strategy and product development across multiple platforms for Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, SuperDeluxe and GameTap. Based in Atlanta, Condolora reports to Snyder.

"Paul has extensive experience and knowledge in the digital space and has been vital to Cartoon Network New Media's success throughout his tenure," said Snyder. "His vision and leadership will play a key role in our future growth across all digital platforms."

Condolora was most recently SVP and GM for Cartoon Network New Media. In this capacity, his responsibilities included further developing new Cartoon Network and Adult Swim-branded products and services for burgeoning distribution platforms such as broadband, VoD, mobile, and interactive television.

Additionally, Condolora has overseen creative development and day-to-day operations for Cartoon Network.com, and all of its related sites and ancillary businesses, including the network's upcoming multi-player online game Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall.

"It has been a great privilege to lead Cartoon Network's new media initiatives over these past years and I'm proud of the many successes we've had thus far," said Condolora.

"The New Media space continues to be an exciting opportunity and I look forward to this new challenge to spearhead the overall strategic direction of our digital brands for the animation, young adults and kids media group."

Condolora came to Cartoon Network Online in 2000 as VP of business development from Sony Pictures Entertainment in Los Angeles, where he headed the multimedia department. In this capacity, Condolora supervised more than 20 projects including visual effects for feature films and television shows, internet games and promotional websites.
