IAMAI announces India Digital Summit 2008

MUMBAI: The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) has announced they will have their annual conference "The India Digital Summit 2008" in collaboration with Intel on 10-11 January in New Delhi.

Delegates from around the world including the US, UK, Hong Kong SAR, Korea and Japan will address the 2008 edition of the summit.

 

EDventure Holdings (USA) chairman and ICANN founding chairman Esther Dyson; Access Company (Japan) co-founder, executive vice president and chief technology officer Tomihisa Kamada; Intel South Asia managing director- sales and marketing Shivakumar Ramamurthy are three of the international keynote speakers.

Indian business leaders like IAMAI chairman and Bhartamatrimony Group CEO Murugavel Janakiraman; IL & FS Ltd CEO and Indian government's CSC Project CEO Aruna Sundararajan; People Group chairman Anupam Mittal; Starcom Media Vest Group South Asia CEO Ravi Kiran; Ibibo CEO Ashish Kashyap; Connecturf vice chairman V Ramani will also attend the summit.

 

This is one of the very few industry meets in the Internet space which the Department of Information and Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology supports annually, recognising the importance of Internet consumers in India.

The guest of honour at the summit will be the secretary of IT department.

The summit is now in its third edition and more than 400 delegates are expected to attend on the first day and around 300 delegates on the second.

Founded in January 2004, IAMAI is the only specialised industry body in India representing the interests of online and mobile value-added services industry.
