Technicolor appoints Ian Maycock as MD for Bangkok facility

MUMBAI: Technicolor (Thailand) Ltd. has appointed Ian Maycock as MD of their Bangkok facility. Maycock moves into the position from director, business development.

Technicolor (Thailand) Ltd. manufactures release prints for Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Middle East, the Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan and Thailand.

In addition to offering services in their brand-new lab facility, Technicolor offers the finest in sound and video services which are operated by a multilingual, internationally trained staff.

Maycock has a solid background in management, marketing and the creative side of the Asian film and television - production and post production businesses.

"Prints produced in Thailand may play on neighborhood multiplexes throughout the USA and the rest of the world; plus we dub and subtitle them into a multitude of languages," said Maycock.

Maycock continued, "That is why it is so important for us here in Bangkok, for Technicolor who's 90 years old to reach out and work with filmmakers from across Asia, not only providing Hollywood quality services at Asian value-added rates, but transfer of cutting-edge expertise to Asian producers, directors and distributors."

Technicolor (Thailand) works directly with Hollywood clients including Buena Vista, Columbia, Tristar, Dreamworks SKG, Disney, UIP, Fireworks, ICON, Intermedia, Lakeshore, Miramax, New Line, and many leading Asian producers.

The Bangkok facility was established in 1977 as CineColor Lab. Technicolor, a division of Thomson, took over in 2004 and further developed the full service motion picture film laboratory which provides worldwide servicing for motion pictures, commercials and documentary projects.
