MUMBAI: Taj Television Ltd, the owner of Ten Sports, has unveiled its second studio, Studio 2, at the company's operations base in Dubai Media City.

With a floor area of 300 sq metres, the new studio is equipped with three cameras and is wired to handle a six-camera operation.

Taj Television claims that its Studio 2 is larger than the majority of studios in the region. It features a fully configurable lighting grid using 76 assorted ARRI lights on pantographs powered by a 96-channel ADB dimmer system, and controlled by Mentor control desk, with water-level flooring, one full black and two green curtains, four wallboxes for convenient connectivity, a props storage bay, two voiceover booths and a green room.

Taj Television CEO Chris McDonald said, "The completion and launch of Studio 2 is a significant milestone for Taj Television. The new facility will see great demand from various television channels and independent program producers."

The new studio will help Taj Television accommodate its growing number of channel and production clients. Studio 1 is completely booked by channels like DirecTV USA, YesTV, Art Prime Sports, Starhub Singapore, City7TV as well as Taj TV's Ten Sports' Channels.

Some of the advanced equipment utilised in Studio 2 are Ikegami cameras, Vinten Pedestals, auto script prompting, wireless talkback and audio monitoring, large mobile LCD displays for vision monitoring and wireless network connectivity.
