MUMBAI:
Sab, the adopted baby of Sony Entertainment Television (SET),
has been launching shows and filling up the prime time from
the last few months. In an attempt to do the same, the channel
has announced yet another show skewed towards comedy Bhago
KK Aya.
Produced
by Contlioe films, the weekly show will hit TV screens on
29 January at 8 pm.
Bhago
KK Aya is based on a character called KK, which has been
lifted from Sab Ka Bheja Fry.
In this new show, KK makes a comeback as the owner of a newspaper.
The story centres around KK and his team's achievements, joy,
sorrow, pain, relief and everyday struggle.
Elaborating
on the show, Sab business head Anooj Kapoor said, "We
have lifted this character from Sab Ka Bheja Fry which
was a combination of three sitcoms of four minutes each. Seeing
the popularity of KK, we are bringing him back in a completely
new format and a half-hour show."
On
being queried about the discontinuation of Sab Ka Bheja
Fry, Kapoor said, "It was an experiment to establish
a comedy slot at 10:30, but three sitcoms in a single slot
became too much for audiences; therefore, we had to discontinue
it."
The
channel has also shifted the time for all its 8:30 pm shows
to 7:30 pm. Starting this week, all the daily shows - Detecitive
Doll, Sirf Stories, Full Masti 88.2 and Gupchup Coffee
Shop, which were earlier slotted for 8:30 pm - are now
airing at 7:30 pm.
"A
research conducted by us concluded that 7:30 pm would see
more younger people. 8:30 pm shows are dominated by housewives,"
says Kapoor.
