MUMBAI:
After experimenting with different types of game shows, Star
One is all set to offer its viewers some cash through another
form of game show called Standard Chartered Kisko Milega
Cash.
In
each episode, three contestants will compete for an amount
of Rs 500,000. All they have to do is to express their need
to have this sum of money. Their will be a group of opinion-makers
played by Nina Gupta, Anil Dharkar and a celebrity each week,
who will cross-question the participants on their reasons
to have that amount.
Lastly,
the participants will debate among themselves, and the winner
will be determined by 100 per cent audience vote, which will
be announced in the succeeding episode.
The
show will have 28 episodes, of which the last eight episodes
will see contestants fight for an amount of Rs 2.5 million.
It
is the common man rather than celebrities who has the chance
to win money. Said Star
One EVP and GM Ravi Menon, "For a change, this time we
don't have any celebrities winning and walking away with the
prize money like many other shows. We thought of giving the
common man a chance to win money in a very versatile and transparent
manner."
The
show, which kicks off on 3 March, will replace currently running
repeat series of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai at 10 pm.
"Citing
a research, we've found that Sarabhai vs Sarabhai will
get a better viewership at the 7:30 pm slot," said Menon.
The
show will be hosted by Vinod Sherawat of Bluff Master fame.
The show will lso see celebrite opinion-makers like Renuka
Shahane and Jaya Bhattacharya.
TV
commercials of the show are already on air. As a promotion,
the channel is conducting on-the-spot mock games at malls
and busy hubs of Mumbai.
Voting
lines will remain open from 10 pm to 10 am the next day, Monday
to Wednesday. For the Thursday episode, voting will be on
till 10 am on Sunday. There will be two lines to each SMS.
One would be for voting and the other for people who would
want to donate to help a particular participant fulfill his/her
desires or necessities even if s/he is not be the winner.

new shows like Pari Hoon Main and Annu Ki Ho Gayi
