Soft toy manufacturer Hanung forays into retail

MUMBAI: In order to stamp its authority in the toy industry, Hanung Toys & Textiles, which manufactures and exports soft toys, decorative cushions, etc., has enhanced its retail presence with the launch of its outlet for soft toys brand Play-n-Pets at Select CityWalk, Saket, New Delhi.

The company has been tapping the Indian market with its stuff toy brands Play-n-Pets for the last 17 years. Covering a carpet area of 500 square feet, the store provides an expanded range of Play-n-Pets soft toys.

Play-n-Pets is known to provide non-toxic, non-hazardous toys of international standard for the domestic market. The unique assortment of toys made of acrylic/polyester fabric and stuffed with polyester staple fibre (PSF) have made Play-n-Pets the preferred brand of stuffed toys.

Play-n-Pets celebrated the week with 93.5 Red FM by sponsoring the campaign "Love is in the Air."

Hanung GM (franchise operations) Varun Sachar says, “We plan to introduce eight to 10 outlets in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bangalore, and appoint 25 to 30 franchisee outlets on pan-India basis in the current calendar year. We aim to have over 250 outlets by the end of 2010, virtually capturing the entire market. To showcase our range, we have already made model showrooms in the premium malls of Delhi NCR, Select City Walk, Delhi and Great India Place, Noida which will be launched in March.”
