MUMBAI: IG Fun LLC, the international publishing arm of the Indian online and mobile games company Indiagames Ltd, has announced that it will bring BioShock, one of the most awarded and popular PC and console games, on the mobile platform.

IG Fun secured the global rights to develop and publish BioShock for the mobile platform from 2K Games.

IG Fun CEO Sean Malatesta said, "We're trying to do great things and BioShock on mobile promises to offer a whole new gaming experience and unmatched excitement amongst mobile gamers the world over.

"BioShock is a special game in its genre; it brings an element of conflicting morals which has an impact on the storyline, and, among other things, on the difficulty of the game itself."

Indiagames Ltd founder and CEO Vishal Gondal added, "Bio-shock on mobile will herald the next level in mobile game development and game play experience.

"The PC and console version of the game has already been a huge hit, and we are confident of replicating the success on the mobile platform too."

BioShock is a first-person shooter game with role playing game customisation elements. It is the second highest-rated Xbox 360 game and the third highest-rated PC game till date.

Since its launch, BioShock has been well accepted by gamers and critics.

The game received overwhelmingly positive press reviews, particularly for its "morality-based" storyline, immersive environment and Ayn Rand-inspired dystopian setting.
