MUMBAI: Orange is set to launch Orange cinéma series, a service offering television service on all platforms, in France in the fourth quarter of 2008.

Orange made this announcement at the MipTV 2008 event in Cannes.

The Orange cinéma séries will be available by subscription for all Orange TV, internet and mobile customers.

It will be offered as an option on Orange TV, available on broadband internet or by satellite. The service will consist of six channels of films and TV series available to customers, apart from offering the programming on-demand to the screen of their choice.

Orange broadband TV coverage will be supplemented by satellite access following a deal signed with GlobeCast, an Orange subsidiary, and Eutelsat, to start with.

The Orange cinéma séries will offer new films, TV series and titles from catalogues that lie with Warner Bros. International Television, HBO, Gaumont and Fidélité Films through the Orange cinéma séries.

With an intention to make this new program a success, Orange and Fidélité Films have signed a multi-year agreement to release all the new movies from Fidélité Films. Also, Orange cinéma séries will offer exclusive releases of all Warner Bros. films.

This new service is part of the Orange strategy to offer customers the best programmes, direct or on demand, at their homes or on the move, for family or individual viewing, and on the screen of their choice.
