MUMBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that this year’s annual conference week will take place in Dubai.

The week, which will include meetings of the ICC Chief Executives' Committee and the ICC Board, will run from 29 June to 4 July.

The week will see David Morgan take over as ICC president and Haroon Lorgat take up the post of ICC Chief Executive Officer.

The annual conference week was originally scheduled to be held at Lord’s in London. The decision to move the location to the United Arab Emirates was made by the ICC Board on the basis that all delegates required to attend would be permitted entry.

A few days ago the ICC had sacked its CEO Malcolm Speed and sent him on a two-month paid leave. Dave Richardson is serving as interim CEO. There were diffrences between Speed and other board members over a number of issues.
