MUMBAI: The Minisode Network, which is US media company Sony Pictures Television's multi-platform video network featuring four to six-minute versions of television shows, is now available on US mobile network Sprint TV.

Honda serves as the launch sponsor for the ad-supported network, following a successful first run as the launch sponsor of The Minisode Network on MySpace and Crackle.com.

SPT VP mobile entertainment Eric Berger says, "The Minisode Network, which was designed to be a new and interesting way to bring our library to the digital world, has quickly become hugely popular with both users and advertisers.

"We are thrilled to have these two major brands
supporting the Network: Sprint, which is a leader in mobile video; and Honda, who is expanding their relationship with us as the network extends across platforms."

The bite-sized ads will embrace the Honda Fit's quirky, vibrant brand personality in two forms. The 15-second ads will appear as a pre-roll on the video network, and there will also be a WAP site that will include clickable Honda Fit banners which will take customers to http://fit.honda.com. The landing page offers wallpaper.

American Honda Motor Co. manager of interactive marketing Jenny Howell says, "We're pleased to extend the exciting and successful Minisode Network program that is now venturing into mobile. The Minisode Network programme distinctively leverages the Fit campaign's arresting visuals and unique energetic tonality to capture the attention of an eclectic target."

The Minisode Network now carries 21 series, including the recently added Newsradio, Married ... with Children and an animation block. Bite-sized entertainment, the minisodes retain the full story arc of each episode offered, making them perfect on-the-go entertainment. Launched online in June 2007 and advertiser supported, The Minisode Network registered 1.4 million streams in February, aggregating its viewership from its online and mobile destinations.
