Animax concludes search for 'Wacky Jockey'

MUMBAI: Animax culminated its Wacky Jockey Talent Hunt 2007, a search for a voiceover for a character in their show Vikings that will premiere on Animax in November.

Conducted in Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai across different college campuses, the winner from each city will get to intern as a radio jockey on Radio Mirchi for a month.

One of the three winners will lend his voice for the wacky live action show Vikings that will premiere on Animax on Wacky Thursdays.

The participants competed amidst several rounds comprising JAM sessions, extempore speeches, mimicry and on the spot jamborees.

Animax India country head Sunder Aaron said, "The contest has unveiled a really talented and enthusiastic bunch of youngsters who have won us over with their immense confidence and ready wit."

The panel of judges comprised a voice specialist duo from Radio Mirchi - RJ Neha and Lotica Ganpatty from Animax India, who were entrusted with the task of deciding the winner, on the basis of various parameters like voice quality, sense of humour, diction and emotiveness.

The winners were selected after a a line up of rounds like Dr. Love, Animax JAMs, silent movie and spotlight.
