MUMBAI: Nimbus Sport International has signed an agreement with Australian sports network Fox Sports - to provide exclusive live coverage of the seven ODIs and one Twenty20 match to be played during Australia's upcoming tour of India.

Fox Sports will be covering all seven ODIs of the series Live, the first to be played in Bangalore on 29 September.

The tour will finish with a specially scheduled blockbuster Twenty20 match on 20 October 2007 in Mumbai. Both teams will compete in the series fresh after their ICC Twenty20 World Cup campaigns.

Nimbus Sports CEO Digvijay Singh said, "We are excited to partner with Australia's leading sports subscription TV network to bring Australian viewers coverage of their most popular sport. We are looking forward to our cooperation with Fox Sports and hope that cricket fans will enjoy an exciting and competitive series."

According to an official release, the Sweeney Sports Report earlier this year in Australia has found that cricket has taken the spot of most popular sport with the Australian population, placing it ahead of swimming and Australian rules football.

Nimbus Sport acquired the global media rights to India's home matches from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2006 for the four year period until March 2010.

During this term the Australian cricket team will tour India twice more, first for a four tests series in October 2008, followed by a further 7 ODI series in October 2009.
