NEW DELHI: The Film and Television Producers Guild of India which is setting up an India Pavilion during the American Film Market next month has decided to help those members who were unable to book space in time by displaying their publicity material.

The AFM, a prestigious event for film industries of the world, is slated to be held between October 31 to November 7 at Santa Monica in Los Angeles .The Guild is setting up the pavilion in association with USIBA (US India Business Alliance).

The Guild already has a Memorandum of Understanding with the USIBA since 2005. The MoU was signed with a focus on helping the entertainment sectors of the two countries to imbibe each others inherent strengths and establish long term relationships. The USIBA draws its strength as a major lobbying group from the Indian American community which has been a strong catalyst for the growth of small and medium sized businesses in the United States.

Plans include panel discussions inside the pavilion featuring speakers from Hollywood and India; networking and matchmaking opportunities and reception with American Entertainment Companies; Screenings etc.

A Guild spokesman told indiantelevision.com that many leading companies have expressed their willingness to be a part of this effort. The spokesman said although names will be intimated shortly, those who have already confirmed their presence include UTV, Percept, Mukta, Ultra, Kaleidoscope, Time Broadband, and Nirvana Motion Pictures amongst others.
