MUMBAI: Reuters has launched Reuters India (www.reuters.co.in) to cover South Asian news, business and sport.

Reuters India is an ad supported English language website and is supported by an accompanying mobile platform.

Both the web and mobile sites feature breaking local Indian and international news as well as Reuters’ business and financial information from across India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Video content will be provided by Times Now and by Reuter’s regional bureaus, and blogs will be integrated via the Pluck blog network.

"We have built Reuters India to be the premier online and mobile news destination for the rapidly growing audience of South Asian business professionals, as well as for those around the world who follow the region's development and culture," said Reuters India general manager S N Bhaduri. "Reuters India is an ideal place for advertisers and marketers who want to reach this highly coveted audience."

Indian online brokerage house ShareKhan has joined Reuters as launch advertiser.
