Dabur looks to appeal to kids with Chyawan Junior

MUMBAI: Dabur India has entered into the Malted Food
Drink (MFD) market with the launch of Chyawan Junior.

The product offers the goodness of Chyawanprash but
with a chocolate falvour to make it appealing to children. The company says that the product contains herbal ingredients needed for healthy living and comes in a granular form.

Dabur India executive VP KK Rajesh says, “We have now
weneterd the milk beverages industry which is worth Rs. 1500 croores. His segment is expected to grow at 15 per cent and the launch of Chyawan Junior would help Dabur establish a prominent position in the market. The launch of Dabur Chyyawan Junior reiterates our commitment to the consumers by providing them with a wider choice.”

The ad campaign for the product is built around the creative thought ‘Apun Ka Style’. It states that Chyawan Junior is the choice of today’s kids. The TVC uses Chyawanprash brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan acknowledging that the product sits well with both kids and parents. Dabur says that the Big B has a highly credible image and is looked up to by all age groups. There will also be print activity. On the left
side you have the mother and what she wants. On the right side you have the kid who is naughty. Below that you see the images coming together.

On the ground level the company will do sampling activities with schools. It will also do in-store sampling. The product will initially be released in Maharashtra and West Bengal. After getting the feedback the company will possibly finetune the product and release it nationally.
