MUMBAI:
Hinduja TMT has posted a net profit of Rs 120.2 million for
the quarter ended 30 September 2007, compared with Rs 5.08
billion in the same quarter of the previous year.
Total
income decreased to Rs 188.5 million for the quarter, as against
Rs 7.76 billion a year ago.
The
second quarter results of the financial year are not comparable
with those of the corresponding previous quarter on account
of the demerger of the company’s IT/ITES businesses.
The demerger was effective 7 March 2007, with appointed date
of 1 October 2006.
On
a consolidated basis, the group posted a profit (after minority
interest) of Rs 154.66 million on a total income of Rs 642.87
million.
