MUMBAI: Television format creator and distributor FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has announced the DVD launch of the global culinary success featuring Jamie Oliver, Jamie at Home.

The show, which follows Jamie as he grows, prepares and cooks his own home produce, has been an international hit, being broadcast in 36 territories worldwide.

The UK DVD, featuring 12 episodes originally aired on Channel 4 in the UK, will be available in high street retail outlets from 29 October. The launch will roll out across Europe and Asia following a series of international DVD licensing deals brokered by Fremantle Home Entertainment.

Jamie at Home showcases Jamie Oliver doing what he does best - cooking at home with simple, accessible ingredients, including fruit and vegetable grown from his country garden. It’s a celebration of no-nonsense, beautiful seasonal food – a proper cooking show for modern-day people. Now with the chance to own the show on DVD, viewers can access Jamie’s tasty recipes and top tips on demand.

Each episode is themed around a basic ingredient or cooking style, for example “Tomatoes” or “Barbeque”. Jamie then takes viewers through easy to follow recipes step-by-step such as summer tomato pasta and Indian carrot salad.

FremantleMedia Enterprises senior VP, home entertainment and archive sales Pete Kalhan said, “I am delighted to announce the release of this popular series in DVD format. It’s great to see Jamie back in the kitchen showing viewers how to make excellent, yet uncomplicated, home-grown food.”
