MUMBAI: Ten Sports has acquired the telecast rights of all international cricket matches from South Africa and Zimbabwe for Asia and the Middle East, including India and Pakistan.

The channel already has the telecast rights of all international cricket played in Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the West Indies, states an official release.

Taj Television Ltd CEO Chris McDonald said, "By acquiring the telecast rights for South Africa and Zimbabwe, Ten Sports has significantly added to its broadcasts of the world’s best live cricket action. Our line-up of international cricket now extends through the end of the decade."

"No other channel delivers the amount and quality of cricket that Ten Sports does. And together with our top-class football, hockey, golf and tennis properties, we have ensured that our viewers will continue to enjoy the best of world sport," he said.

Starting with the ongoing South Africa v Pakistan series, Ten Sports features nine tours over the next nine months, including India’s tours of Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.

South Africa’s busy season after their tour of Pakistan includes a trip by New Zealand (November – December 2007), and by the West Indies soon after (December 2007 to February 2008).
