MUMBAI: The Walt Disney Co. will contribute $2 million
to restore burned areas and help victims of the Southern
California wildfires.
Disney would provide the donations to the American
Red Cross for immediate relief efforts.
The
rest of the money would be distributed later on a
case-by-case basis to groups for rebuilding and restoration
efforts.
Disney
also planned to distribute packages of toys and books
for children who have been displaced by the fire and
said it would send Disney characters to shelters this
week to cheer up youngsters.
