MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment has tied up with Crosswords book stores for the promotion for their first kids' 3D CGI animation flick Bal Ganesh across Mumbai.

As part of the promotional activity, Crossword is organizing a 'fun time with Bal Ganesh' event where activities like puzzle making and coloring competitions are conducted and the children get a chance to click picture with Bal Ganesh at select outlets of Crossword through out the month of October. These outlets are situated in Juhu, Ghatkopar, Mulund, Turner Road, Kemps Corner and Malad.

Shemaroo recently conducted promotions for the film in association with McDonalds during which special branded merchandise was available with the McDonalds Happy Meals across 50 outlets in the cities of Mumbai, Surat, Pune, Ahmedabad, Nashik, Indore, Baroda, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

This merchandise included a small diary, a childrens' height chart and a calendar, all with Bal Ganesh pictures and branding.

In Mumbai, the McDonalds activity was conducted in all outlets with Bal Ganesh Mascot visits to the prime locations of Malad, Kemps Corner, Bandra, Ghatkopar, Goregaon, Mulund, Andheri and Navi Mumbai.

Shemaroo Entertainment VP animation division Smita Maroo said, "It's wonderful to see how Bal Ganesh's popularity has taken off even before the launch of the movie. The little mascot has really hit a chord with audiences all over the country. Both the McDonalds and Crosswords tie ups have given our pre launch promotions a great impetus and helped us spread the word in a fun and interactive way."
