MUMBAI: Nimbus Sport International Pte Ltd announced an agreement with Acme Mobile, Thailand based mobile carrier, to provide on-demand mobile clips of the Barclays Premier League in Thailand for the remainder of the 2007/2008 season.

Acme Mobile will operate and run the mobile clips service for Advanced Info Services (AIS). From November-end, AIS will offer near live content as well as highlights and previews of all Barclays Premier League matches through a dedicated Barclays Premier League website. Football fans across Thailand will be able to access the content free of charge.

Nimbus Sport VP international Thomas Klingebiel, commented, "The Barclays Premier League enjoys a phenomenal following in Thailand, and we are delighted to add Acme Mobile and AIS to our family of licensees to extend coverage of the world's premier football league to mobile phones for millions of fans in Thailand."

Nimbus Sport has been awarded the mobile and internet rights for the next three years - covering the 1140 Barclays Premier League matches that will be played until the end of the 2009-10 season, stated an official release.

"We're thrilled to initiate our relationship with Nimbus and the Barclays Premiere League by launching the mobile clips service in such an enthusiastic football market," said Acme Mobile CEO Paul Meyers. "The Premiere League is hugely popular in Thailand and we believe this new service on AIS will prove to be wildly successful."

AIS postpaid manager Pongsakorn Corvanich added, "Now 24 million AIS customers nationwide will be able to receive video clips, match results and updates of their favorite teams on their mobile phones everywhere and every time. We expect to welcome a great number of football fans."

The rights awarded to Nimbus Sport span countries across the globe - including China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and other countries in Asia; UAE, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Egypt, as well as countries in the Middle East and North Africa; Italy, Portugal, Spain, Greece, and Belgium in Europe; and reaching as far as Brazil, Australia and New Zealand.
