As part of 'Mirchi Activation,' Radio Mirchi and 24X7
guru.com in association with Taare Zameen Par have kick
-started a talent hunt contest 'Destination NASA'. The
campaign will roll out across 13 cities with 880 schools
likely to participate. The contest is open to only students
from class VI to X.
Operational
in 28 cities in 10 languages, ENIL MD AP Parigi says
that 'Mirchi Activation' will carry the brand to all
its listeners to touch and have a feel of the FM brand.
"We
are constantly able to match with the pulse of our listeners.
With the introduction of the 'Destination NASA' programme,
we wish to provide a platform for young talent to earn
fame among their peers and to make not only their parents
but also the country proud," he says.
'Mirchi
Activation' does multi client on-ground activities using
radio as a prime medium for its promotion and specialises
in providing brands with innovative solutions, cost
benefits and footfalls - funneling down to their direct
target group and allowing them to sample their product
and service.
As
part of the contest, selected 750 performers will compete
for the city finals which will be further filtered to
the count of 130 candidates with 10 students per city.
The final rounds will be held in Delhi, in February
2008.
Top
10 winners along with one parent each and a teacher
will be send to NASA. The other 120 runner-ups will
be awarded with gifts ranging from computers to ipods.
