Speed Week will air from 26 to 30 November at 10
pm and will encore the next day at 4 pm.
Speed
Week will air, for the speed enthusiasts, episodes on
future cars, power boats, street racing and race dynasties.
It will follow Michael Czysz and the MotoCzysz team
as they are trying to bring an American designed and
built machine to the forefront of international road
racing.
The
special series will kick off with Future Cars
on 26 November.
Through
Future Cars, viewers will journey to test tracks,
design centers and manufacturing locations around the
world for first-hand knowledge of car design, computer
interface and alternative fuel sources. Visionaries
will discover the remote possibilities of automobile
technology. Audiences will view a new, 18-wheel truck,
whose aerodynamic design alone improves fuel efficiency
by 50 per cent.
This
will be followed by Power Boats on 27 November
at 10 pm. Viewers will experience the glamour and excitement
of the world's fastest racing boats during both the
build up and the race itself.
Jet
Bikers Speed Dynasties will be aired on 28 November.
This programme highlights four racing families from
the United Kingdom, United States, India and Brazil
and finds out why the sons have chosen to follow in
their father's footsteps. The sons of these speed dynasties
continue to wrestle with the pressure of a famous family
name - find out what motivates them and how a fear of
death has influenced some family's decisions. The programme
also covers the technology, expertise and engineering
of different racing cars - from A1, Rally, Grand American
Sports Cars, Formula Renault, to Indy Cars.
Street
Racing which will air on 29 November will take viewers
to Tokyo, New York City, Mexico City, Osaka and Essex
to witness the real-life world of street racing. In
places and settings as different as they can be, street
racers are united by a bond that crosses barriers of
culture and distance - their passion for speed is the
most important thing in their lives.
The
last program Birth of a Racer will be telecast
on 30 November. It's a story on racer, architect and
design daredevil, Michael Czysz, who is on a mission-to
build a world-class, made in America, superbike capable
of competing at the Laguna Seca round of MotoGP. His
ultimate goal - to create high performance street bikes
for the public in direct competition with elite Japanese
and Italian companies.
