MUMBAI: US based VideoMining Corporation has launched its in-store measurement services in India for the retail and digital signage industry.

The service will be offered by GMT India, a resource for retail solutions that connects shoppers, retailers and brands.

VideoMining president Ted Faleski said, "We are pleased to provide our services in India with our partner GMT. Our in-store measurement services can really help India's retail industry by providing an objective understanding of India's shoppers".

GMT India director Hozefa Attari said, "With the retail revolution in India becoming a reality there is an immediate need to reliably, quantitatively identify the drivers that influence shopper decisions. This understanding of shopper behaviour will propel retail in India to the next level".

VideoMining provides technology-enabled shopper insights and audience measurement research for all retail stakeholders. Its services are based on a software platform that converts video collected in-store into statistical data on shopper behaviour and demographics.

Some of the retailers and consumer brands like Coca Cola and Cadbury currently use VideoMining's services.
