Sab refurbishes primetime; announces 4 weekly shows

MUMBAI: Soon after unveiling its new network logo and packaging, SET India is beefing up the content of its Hindi general entertainment channels.

 


While a Balaji Telefilms show is launching on Sony TV in prime time, sibling channel Sab TV is also gearing up for some new launches.

In an attempt to strengthen its prime time, Sab TV has lined up a range of weekly shows to tap its core TG (15-35-year-olds).

Four fiction shows will hit the screens from 3 December and are slotted at 8:30 pm on each of the weekdays.

First one of the lot is Detective Doll. Produced by Miditech, it will be aired on Mondays. It is the story of a 18-year-old Doll who is a private detective.

This will be followed by Sirf Stories. Produced by Film Farm Productions, the series is a collection of stories which end in each episode. The show will be aired on Tuesdays.

Full Masti 88.2 is the story of six friends who run a radio station for youth and discuss their problems. This show is produced by Endemol.

The fourth show, produced by Maverick Productions, is called Coffee Shop GupShup. It is the story of three housewives who run a coffee shop.

Speaking about each of the shows Sab business head Anooj Kapoor said, "These shows are designed after doing research and will cater to the requirements of today's youth. The shows are all about what youngsters think and want to do."

Following these shows on weekdays will be Jersey N0 10 at 9 pm.
