MUMBAI: On the occasion of Children's day on 14 November, Cartoon Network and Pogo have planned a special series of programmes.

Cartoon Network will air three Barbie movies from 11 am - 5 pm while Pogo will present a Tiny TV Children's Day programming extravaganza from 9 am - 2 pm.

Children's Day Barbie specials on Cartoon Network kick off with animated movie Barbie As The Island Princess. The movie revolves around Rosella (Barbie) who as a young girl is shipwrecked on an island and raised by many of the animals that inhabit the location. One day, a prince named Antonia discovers Rosella and her animal family and invites them to visit his kingdom and explore his country. What no one knew was that a trap is being laid in order to rob Prince Antonia off his powers. Now, Rosella and her animal friends must help Prince Antonia to find out who is behind this evil plan and also help him to regain his position in the Kingdom.

In the next film, Barbie Fairytopia: Magic Of Rainbow! Elina travels with her puffball Bibble to Fairy School at the magnificent Crystal Palace. There she meets the other fairy apprentices, chosen to learn the annual Flight of Spring and magically create the first rainbow of the season. But when the evil Laverna tries to stop the Flight, threatening to plunge Fairytopia into ten years of bitter winter, Elina and her new friends must learn that "together we are strong."

The final treat comes with the animated movie Barbie in the Twelve Dancing Princesses. The beautiful Princess Genevieve (played by Barbie) and her eleven dancing princess sisters live together. However, they are endangered by their evil aunt Rowena, who is plotting to rule their kingdom. In order to break free from Aunt Rowena's clutches, all the princesses escape to a palace and discover a secret entrance to a magical world where wishes come true! However, they must return to their kingdom in order to save it.

The Tiny TV Children's Day special on Pogo begins with the show Bob the Builder. The episode showcases Bob the Builder's hometown which is a bright and colourful place where everyone knows each other and is always willing to lend a hand.

Bob and his machines are frequently seen driving over the town roads or even fixing them as a part of their working day. Bobsville is a bustling town, which reflects Bob the Builder's busy nature.

To continue with the pre-school book series, Miffy now shines in a beautiful stop-motion puppet animation series called Miffy and friends. Pre-schoolers will play along with Miffy, a sweet little bunny and her friends Boris and Barbara Bear, Poppy Pig, Snuffy and discover the world around them in a fun way.

In the closing part of the programming line-up, Postman Pat and his faithful companion, Jess the Cat, are back with brand new adventures enveloped with pace, humour and excitement.
