Hungama TV takes 'Pyjama Pakdo' on ground

MUMBAI: Hungama TV Pyjama Pakdo contest starts on 7 May. Kids are being invited to help police the channel and help catch these pyjamas.

To join the Pyjama Pakdo force, kids have to spot these dangerous Pyjamas through the day on Hungama TV; once they note the unique code on the pyjama's laundry tag, they need to quickly report back to Hungama TV by calling in or sending an SMS.

The Pyjama Pakdo contest is being taken on ground through a 360 degree media campaign comprising of TVi, on ground activation, internet, radio, outdoor, cable TV, and multi city van promotion.

Hungama TV will roll out an extensive ground activation program beginning 5 May. This will comprise of a van activity that will tour 32 cities across 3 zones: Maharashtra- Gujarat which includes Mumbai, Thane - Kalyan, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Nasik, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Nagpur; Harayana- Punjab- Delhi which includes Faridabad, Delhi, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Hisar, Bhatinda, Abohar, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Yamunanagar; and West Bengal- Uttar Pradesh- Uttaranchal which includes Kolkatta, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Allahabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Agra, Moradabad, Gaziabad, Meerut and Dehradun.

Each van will aim to engage with the kids through games and prizes in creating mad fun across India during the summer vacations. The Pyjama Pakdo campaign will also extend to 21 McDonald outlets in 10 cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Dehradun, and Pune.

The types of Pyjamas include Punters, Bhais, Villians and Boss, all having points according to their notorious reputation. To spice up the quest, a Khabree or Informer would make a random appearance on the channel to intimate the kids about their whereabouts. Kids can catch as many of these pyjamas each day and get a chance to win lots of exciting prizes. Everyday, 20 lucky kids can win binoculars, digital radio and gaming CD from zapak.com and tiffin box from Kelloggs chocos.

The Pyjama Pakdo contest gets even bigger once the kids get rewarded for collecting maximum points they get promoted from being a detective to a senior. detective to a detective sergeant and finally becoming a detective lieutenant on the channel. And promotions come with rewards - skateboards, walkie talkie sets, audio-video player, funky bike from BSA Champ are all being given away as they get promoted at each level. At the end of this month long contest, the grand prize is an all expense paid trip for two to Singapore.

Hungama TV director programming and production Aparna Bhosle said, "This summer, we want kids across India to join the pyjama party on Hungama TV. The on-ground events and the extensive media campaign aim to provide the surround sound for the on-air jamboree!"
