Jetix brings back 'Didi's comedy show'

MUMBAI: Jetix action vacation brings back the German comedy show on Indian television. Starting 7 May, Didi's comedy show from Monday to Friday at 6.00 pm on Jetix.

Didi's comedy show, also known as 'Nonstop Nonsense' was amongst the highest rated comedy series aired on DD in the 80s. The slapstick show is based on Didi's comedic antics, a bumbling detective struck by sparkling ideas which turn out disastrous, rolling in a hilarious situation for the audience.

To make the character and show more endearing to the Indian audience it has been dubbed in three local languages and a special music track has been created to compliment the same.

Walt Disney Television International (India) executive director production and programming Nachiket Pantvaidya , said, "The launch of Didi's comedy show will further ramp up the comedy offerings on Jetix, joining the other quirky, fun shows such as Pucca and Yin Yang Yo. It will further enforce our efforts to make the summer vacation more colourful and fun."

All this and more will put together to provide entertainment this summer. Yin Yang Yo series will be aired five times a week from Monady to Friday at 05:30 pm. This summer Yin Yang Yo will explore the mysterious world filled with magic monsters and mythical creatures ruled by an evil cockroach called Carl. This hilarious show follows the antics of hyper kinetic tween rabbits Yin and Yang who, when faced by the mostly idiotic forces of Carl, put aside their sibling rivalry and defeat their ten times stronger enemies with the energies they learn from the mystical martial art of Woo Foo. They train under the guidance of Master Yo, an irritable old panda forced out of retirement to rebuild the lost art.

The Walt Disney Television International (India) director marketing and communications Tushar Shah said, "We focus on a progressive approach to engage our audiences and keep them tuned in to Toon Disney by staying abreast of the evolving moods of our audiences. With our comedy shows on Toon Disney we've taken another initiative to leverage the interest and reach out to our viewers as we pursue new and enduring audience connections."

Pantvaidya added, "Toon Disney is excited to enhance its audience relationship by airing shows that will keep viewers relaxed and entertained at home during summers. We've syndicated our programming initiatives with the flavors of the season, connecting with our audiences and providing them with a stress-free high-quality experience."
