Serve Toonz gets a deal with BBC for new animation series

NEW DELHI: First Serve Toonz, the joint venture company
between Toonz Animation India and First Serve International,
today announced a deal with the BBC for an all new TV
animation series, based on the iconic Marvel character,
Wolverine.
BBC
has secured the television rights in the UK for the
first series of 26 episodes of half an hour.
Appreciating
the deal, CEO Toonz Animation India. Mr. P. Jayakumar
and Managing Director of First Serve International,
Edward Borgerding commented, "We are thrilled
to have entered into an agreement with the BBC. They
are recognised worldwide for their commitment to quality
programming. The BBC will be an incredible platform
for Wolverine which is one of Marvel's most popular
and iconic characters."
Liberation
Entertainment will represent the show internationally
and in the United States Marvel Entertainment will
represent it.
