Eros International honoured at Bollywood Awards

MUMBAI: In recognition of its contribution to Bollywood and bringing it to Indian audiences across the globe, Eros International received an honorary award in New York at the Bollywood Awards.

Eros International President (USA) Ken Naz said, "This is an honor that we would like to share with millions of moviegoers that have supported us over the years and as new technologies of delivering content take place, we promise to continue to power Indian cinema and bring the best family entertainment globally."

The event held at the Nassau Coliseum in New York, drew Bollywood fans from the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean; all eager to see their favorite stars honored and performing at the magnum opus.

Organizer of the Bollywood Awards Kamal Dandona stated, "We share the universal perspective and forward-looking goals of Eros International. During the past 30 years, Eros International has given eloquent expression to the idea that the Bollywood industry should be a cause of celebration."

Established in 1977, Eros International is an established global player in the Indian media and entertainment arena. Presently, Eros produces and commissions films and also distributes films globally via cinemas, home entertainment, television formats and new media.

It has built a business model around the release of 30-40 new films every year and the exploitation of a film library containing more than 1,300 titles, making it one of the largest content owners in the business.
