Memporul
meaning software in Tamil is a story set in a modern day call
centre. The setting and characters of Memporul depicts the
depressing flip side of the call centre industry. It takes
toll on physical and psychological being, the financial freedom
lulls into a false sense of security as there is no clear
cut vision for your future.
Suresh

quotient. There are many migrants from Trichy and Combaitore
who ultimately end up working in a call centre in Chennai.
The serial will showcase this."
How
it is different from Star One produced India Calling?
"Both are in the same format, but Memporul differs
from being a soap opera. It has real life incidents, real
life characters and shot in real location and not in sets.
There is very little bit of fiction in it," elaborates
Iyer.
