Eros to join hands with Intl. Indian Film Academy

MUMBAI: Eros International, integrated media and entertainment company, will power the forthcoming International Indian Film Academy Weekend (IIFAs) to held from 7 - 10 June in Yorkshire.
Eros International will showcase some of its forthcoming films during the IIFA programme and drive key forums and panel discussions designed to give wider access to the Indian film industry, informs an official release.

Eros International chairman & CEO Kishore Lulla said, "We see IIFA as another institution that has taken on the mission of promoting the phenomenal and vibrant Indian film industry on a global platform through the medium of Indian Film Awards and are delighted with the association."

IIFA director Sabbas Joseph said, "Eros has always been an innovative and forward thinking player within the Indian entertainment arena and we are privileged that this year's IIFA will be powered by Eros. IIFA greatly values and acknowledges Eros's contribution to the Indian film industry at large.

For three decades Eros has made efforts in giving Indian films a mainstream international platform - be it through securing multiplex cinema chain distribution for Indian films or high street distribution for DVDs; be it by opening new markets through dubbed and subtitled versions of Indian films or global television syndication to widen the TV viewership of Indian films.

The company's new media initiatives promote official online distribution or representing Indian content within major international film festivals. Currently, Eros International operates in over 50 countries, with worldwide offices in India, UK, USA, Dubai, Australia, Fiji and Isle of Man, it claims to has one of the largest film content libraries in the business in excess of 1300 films.
