NEW DELHI: Print media professionals who wish to study issues
related to the North-east can now apply for the Third CNES-Setu
National Media Fellowship by April 15.
This follows the extension of the deadline for receipt of
applications for the fellowship, instituted by the Centre
for North East Studies and Policy Research.
The fellowship carries an award of Rs. 75,000 and is open to
journalists from other parts of the country with an interest
in the region, CNES Managing Trustee Sanjoy Hazarika told indiantelevision.com
today.
Applicants for this year's award would need to pick a topic
from the following: the impact of conflict on women; the impact
of mining on society and the environment; the media under pressure
in the North-east, and the region's experience with special
draconian laws.
