MUMBAI: CNN has announced that talk show host Larry King's fans
around the world will be able to vote for their favourite Larry
King Live interview at www.cnn.com/larry. The top five shows will
then be broadcast on CNN International during the week of 9 April
daily at 9:30 am, 3:30 pm and on weekends at 6:30 pm.
As Larry King prepares to celebrate five decades and more than
40,000 interviews on television and radio, CNN relives some of the
classic moments in the history of the worlds most recognisable television
interviewer.
CNN International senior VP Rena Golden says , "Larry King
is a broadcasting legend and a CNN icon. As he celebrates such an
amazing milestone we wanted to give his legions of fans around the
word the opportunity to be part of this special celebration."
With many thousands of King's interviews in the CNN archive, a
selection of some of his most memorable programmes are now on a
special section on CNN's site, www.cnn.com/larry, to be viewed and
voted on.
Some of King's most classic shows include interviews with Nelson
Mandela, Margaret Thatcher, Steve Irwin, Ronald Reagan, Marlon Brando,
Michael Jordan, Ted Turner, Christopher Reeve, Bette Davis, Al Pacino,

outside of the first night of Gulf War coverage, it obtained the

East Peace process with PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat, King Hussein
of Jordan and Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1995.
