MUMBAI: T-Com and Disney's Buena Vista International Television (BVITV) have closed a multi-year Video on Demand movie rental agreement.

With this agreement, the online VoD offering of Deutsche Telekom now becomes the only provider in Europe to offer content from all the eight major Hollywood studios. This agreement is in line with Disney's focus on the application of technology to enhance its content and expand its distribution.

Film fans will be able to enjoy hit movie titles from Disney at T-Online Video on Demand and T-Home. Viewers can watch films like Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Toy Story, A Bug's Life and Cars. Additionally, subscribers will be able to enjoy Disney classic titles such as Pocahontas and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. A large number of these movies will also be available in High Definition quality on the T-Home Triple Play service.

T-Com says that the cooperation with Disney once again underscores its leadership position among Europe's Video on Demand providers. BVITV EMEA and Canada executive VP, MD Tom Toumazis says, "We are pleased to close this agreement with T-Online Video on Demand. In addition to bringing consumers outstanding entertainment in a flexible new way, we appreciate T-Com's number of anti-piracy measures and procedures, giving consumers an attractive and affordable legal alternative to illegal file sharing."

Film fans can enjoy also entertainment at the touch of button in the T-Online Video on Demand offering. The online video rental store meanwhile includes more than 1,500 titles, 60 of which are in ultra-sharp High Definition quality.
