MUMBAI: Cookie Jar Entertainment has signed a deal with Good Morning TV (GMTV) on ITV1 in the UK to broadcast The Doodlebops making ITV1 the newest international broadcast home for the show.

According to an official announcement, The Doodlebops, preschoolers' favourite rockin' band, will air at 6 am on GMTV1 starting 7 April. A weekday launch on GMTV2 is planned for this summer.

"GMTV is a well-established network and the ideal UK broadcast home for 'The Doodlebops,' said Cookie Jar Entertainment VP of distribution in the UK Alison Warner. "GMTV has demonstrated a commitment to the series and we look forward to a long relationship with them."

"We are extremely pleased to serve as the broadcast home for 'The Doodlebops.' It has been quite impressive watching the show become a global, pop-culture phenomena in such a short period of time. Now this musical trio is about to take its place on GMTV, and we couldn't be more thrilled," said GMTV's director of programmes Peter McHugh.

GMTV joins the roster of The Doodlebops international broadcasters that includes Kids' CBC, Playhouse Disney US, Disney (Australia, Italy, Latin America and others), Nickelodeon France and VRAK TV (Canada). "The Doodlebops" is also available on satellite and cable television through Playhouse Disney UK.

The Doodlebops continues to rank among the most viewed preschool shows in television. Bringing the preschool set its own unique brand of frenetic fun, outrageous storylines and rousing musical performances of original songs and dance, Deedee, Rooney and Moe also teach the importance of teamwork, good behavior, getting along with others, trying one's best, facing fears and being reliable, adds the release.
