MUMBAI: Disney Channel will now be available to an estimated 75 per cent of households in Vietnam with its carriage on Vietnam Cable Television Service Technique Center and Saigon Tourist Cable Television Company.

Walt Disney Television International Southeast Asia VP and MD Laura E Wendt said, "Vietnam is a developing TV market we're proud to be a part of. The increasing interest for TV content coupled with a high level of TV penetration has positioned Vietnam as a TV market with vast potential. We look forward to working with VCTV and SCTV to deliver quality family entertainment Disney is famous for."

The Walt Disney Company entered the Vietnam market with the launch of Disney Channel in May 2005 and now Vietnam is one of 18 markets in the Asia Pacific that broadcasts Disney Channel.

Disney Channel is distributed by Q.Net in Vietnam. VCTV provides cable service in Hanoi and DTH service nationwide and is an affiliate of Vietnam Television (VTV), the country's terrestrial TV broadcaster.
