MUMBAI: LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A. Inc. is hosting the LG mobile TV party at the Paramount Studios on 19 June.

Labelled as a celebration of evolution of television, the event will also witness the launch of LG VX9400, one of the first handsets to support mobile TV.

The party will recreate themes from three of television's most memorable shows including the Brady Bunch, Star Trek and Happy Days and television personalities are expected to attend.

LG MobileComm U.S.A Inc. senior director of marketing Jon Maron said, "Television has transformed how America receives their information and entertainment. We wanted to create an event that paid homage to the history of television and celebrated its future. The mobile TV party is the perfect way to launch the LG VX9400, one of the first handsets to support Mobile TV."

The LG VX9400 allows users to watch programs of their choice with the help of a one-touch program guide. They can also make calls, answer messages and when finished continue watching the TV programs, just like if a consumer were to step away from the television set during a program for a minute or two at home.
